  2. A BRIEF NOTE ABOUT MEMORY AND THIS PROGRAM !!

  5. Many of the BEST programs require close to 600K of FREE memory and often
  6. UPPER memory (EMS) to run as well.  If you get an "out of memory" or 
  7. "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY" error when you try to run programs on this CD, you have 
  8. too many drivers taking up your memory space.  You must FREE UP MORE MEMORY
  9. on your system. The important factor is NOT how much memory you have on your 
  10. machine, but how much you have available for use within the first 640K.  You 
  11. may have no difficulty at all, but if you do, Try this.
  12.  
  13. 1- We suggest you run MEMMAKER from the DOS prompt.  When asked if you require  
  14.    EMS answer YES.
  15.  
  16. 2-  Or use a memory manager such as QEMM (The BEST) or 386 MAX
  17.  
  18. NOTE: This CD creates a 500K temporary SWAP file on your C: drive.
  19.       
  20.       The CD MENU SYSTEM also uses EMS upper memory to function.  Most systems
  21.       already have this set.  If you have any problems with the menu system, 
  22.       we suggest running MEMMAKER from the C: prompt to optimize your memory.  
  23.       MEMMAKER will make sure you have the following lines in your config.sys            
  24.       file upon booting the computer.

  26.             ie:   Top two lines of the CONFIG.SYS  DEVICE=C:\HIMEM.SYS
  27.                                                    DEVICE=C:\EMM386.sys
  28.  
  29. The best solution is running a memory manager program (QEMM) for some of the 
  30. more advanced games.
